Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is back!
GEW Sault Ste. Marie is taking place the week of November 14th-20th. This is the second year YouLaunch is bringing GEW to the Sault; currently there are 13 events scheduled throughout the week hosted by 10 organizations in our community, all of which we work closely.
GEW has grown to have a presence in 160 countries, reaching over 10 million people globally. The week is not just for entrepreneurs, it is for innovative and creative thinkers and for those looking to expand their network in their own community. On behalf of YouLaunch and the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre we strongly encourage the community to take part in the events happening throughout Global Entrepreneurship Week here in Sault Ste. Marie.
A full list of events happening that week can be found below, including an info-graphic of the events happening throughout the week. We encourage the public to get out and support local businesses, entrepreneurs, and networking events. A majority of the events happening over the week are free and open to the public.
Monday Nov 14:
-YouLaunch is holding a FREE workshop: Digital Marketing. Join Tara from Camp Tech at 7PM, Sault College M2020
-YouLaunch will launch Junior Achievement program in secondary schools across town -Head Start in Business will be holding a Be a Business Bee at three elementary schools across town. Tuesday Nov 15:
-YouLaunch will be holding a Digital Marketing workshop for students at St. Mary's College.
-Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium: Industry Briefing on Productivity & Cluster Initiative. 8AM-noon at the Millworks Centre for Entrepreneurship, 83 Canad Street. For information or to register contact klenko@emccanada.org
Wednesday Nov 16:
-Join YouLaunch and StartUp Sault for Generation Startup - Ontario Screening!, 6PM at the Tech. Admission $5. -The Mill Market's Moonlight Markets!- The first of 3 Moonlight Markets taking place from 6-9 PM. Kick off the Holiday Season by shopping local with all your favourite vendors! Thursday Nov 17:
-The Sault Ste Marie Innovation Centre and YouLaunch will be hosting Grub at the Hub- Veracity, Graham Nelson from Veracity Asset Management will be speaking. FREE lunch, and networking provided. 12PM at the Accelerator Hub, 258 Queen Street E. -Take 5 - Hosted by the Festival of Trees and sponsored by RBC Join us for a little food, some light refreshments and a lot of great networking! Free Admission to Take 5 for SSMCOC members, $10 Non-members.
